Treasure in Clay Jars

We are earthen vessels. We are fragile but the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ is the treasure inside of us that strengthens us and empowers us. "But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that it may be made clear that this extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us." 2 Corinthians 4:7

This workshop talks about our being fragile earthen vessels. Weak though we may be, there is a wonderful treasure, the very gospel of Jesus Christ that resides in each one of us. That gift, that treasure, is empowering! Recognize and be strengthened by the power of the gospel in you!

Love God, Love Neighbor, Love Self

Matthew 22:37-39 "He said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself'."

How can we love our neighbor if we don't first love ourselves? How can we love ourselves if we don't first love God? How can we show love to our neighbor? What does it mean to love self? Explore the possibilities of living in love and loving outward.

Get Your Colors Out of the Box

This Bible study is designed to help us find gifts that God has given us in the form of our talents. It's based around crayons and is really a fun workshop. Sometimes we have trouble seeing our talents; sometimes we have trouble using our talents. A box full on crayons can't express a child's joy unless those colors are taken out of the box and used. It is the same with our gifts and talents. If we don't take them out and use them, we can't express the joy and abilities of God. God has blessed each of us in unique ways so that we can be a blessing to others. So be ready to Get Your Colors Out of the Box and Color the Sky!

De-Stress

What does God say about stress? Can you change how you handle stressful situations?

In this workshop you will find useful tools to deal more effectively with the stress in your life. Let the Word help sooth your soul and rekindle your spirit of peace. This gathering may consist of only a Bible Study or may also include a worship service, and activities to help you let go of your stressors

Waiting on God

We all have times of Waiting on God. How we wait may be just as important as the actual waiting. This study will focus on the benefits of waiting of God and what we can do while we wait. Living in limbo is difficult, especially if you're a planner or a control freak. Learn how to wait productively and receive the benefits of waiting. You might even find that you can enjoy your time of waiting instead of dreading it and fretting about it. Wouldn't that be a blessing? How can we love our neighbor if we don't first love ourselves? How can we love ourselves if we don't first love God? How can we show love to our neighbor? What does it mean to love self? Explore the possibilities of living in love and loving outward.

In Progress

The smallest move of a kaleidoscope completely changes the view. And, once changed an image can not be recaptured. Like a kaleidoscope, our growth in Christ is a dynamic experience. Even if we revert back to our old selves, we are not the some person we were before our hearts were touched and shaped by Jesus Christ. We can remain stagnant in our Spiritual maturity or we can leap out in faith and enjoy the ride. Developing a closer relationship with Christ takes time and effort. We are all "IP," works IN PROGRESS! Enjoy this Bible study of encouragement and examine what God has called us to be, why we haven't yet arrived and why we can press forward to what lies ahead in our ever-changing lives.

Super Woman, Superior God

How are your super powers? Are you keeping up? Getting it all done? Sometimes we all need to stop and remember that we are NOT God. We are NOT supposed to be God. God is God. He is Superior in every way. It's okay for us to be human. We don't even have to be a super-human. God is God and he made us, we are creatures, and we are flawed and far from perfect. You don't have to be so super, when your Lord is Superior! Shew!

More Than Conquerors!

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Romans 8:37 Nothing can separate us from God's love. Life comes against us, God is there. Satan attacks us, God is there. Nothing separates us from God or from his love. Therefore we are MORE than Conquerors!
